Target Is Now Open In Downtown Miami (Parking Is Free)

Target has opened its store at a new retail complex in downtown Miami near the Brightline station.

The new 50,000-square-foot Target is part of the 1.5 million Sawyer’s Walk development in Overtown, which includes multiple levels of retail, office, and residential.

Target Miami Downtown offers free parking, reviewers wrote on Google Maps. The store website says it also offers free drive-up service, allowing shoppers to stay in their cars during pickup.

Many customers will be walking to the new store, rather than driving. There are thousands of residential units planned, under construction, or recently completed within a short walking distance of the new store.

Metrorail, Metromover, and Tri-Rail are also near the store.

Other stores that will soon be opening at Sawyer’s Walk include Burlington, Aldi , Five Below and Ross Dress for Less.

Also recently completed: 578 residential units for seniors, and 130,000 square feet of office space that will become the headquarters for MSC Group’s North American cruise division.

SG Holdings, a partnership among Swerdlow Group, SJM Partners, and Alben Duffie is the developer.

Free parking alone makes it a better choice for me than the one at Midtown. Plus, accessibility via the Mover.

Midtown is a full target though… isn’t this like the mini one on the beach

Overtown is situated in the best location for growing. This area will be the next Midtown/Wynwood

Plus better infrastructure for urban development and nicer water frontage all around.

Is the water frontage in the room with us?

Honestly there should be a lot more public parking in Miami. Not saying unlimited but give people a few hours at least to get what they need and go.

Parking is already subsidized enough

Should have been at the old Burdine’s instead, not a vertical geriatric geddo.
