Mixed-Use Development Proposed In Wynwood

Plans have been filed for a new mixed-use development in Wynwood.

The 8-story project is planned to include:

  • 87 multi-family dwelling units
  • 214 lodging units
  • 11,350 square feet of commercial space
  • 87 on-site parking spaces, spread over two floors

Zoning requires 252 gross parking spaces. A 30% Transit Corridor Waiver is being requested to reduce that to 177 spaces. The developer is planning surplus bicycle spaces substituting for 50 required vehicular spaces, and an anticipated contribution of fees in lieu to the Wynwood Parking Trust Fund for the remaining 40 required spaces.

HWKN Architecture is the design architect, with ODP the architect of record.

Whale & Star Wynwood Owner, LLC is the developer.

A hearing before the Wynwood Design Review Committee was scheduled for yesterday. Another hearing is planned before the Urban Development Review Board.
