Here’s When Citadel’s Brickell Supertall Tower Is Expected To Begin Construction

An expected construction start date for Citadel’s new supertall headquarters tower has been revealed.

Construction is estimated to begin in the third quarter of 2025, a Citadel spokesperson told The Real Deal.

Miami-Dade records show that the zoning review application was accepted on September 9, after an initial August 26 filing was revised. The development is now being assigned to reviewers.

The tower is planned to rise 1,032 feet above sea level, or 54 stories.

It will include 1,293,373 square feet of office area, 212 hotel rooms, a health spa, fitness club, ballroom, conference and event space, and fine dining restaurant space.

There will also be 50 underground parking spaces.

Foster + Partners is the design architect, with AAI architects the architect of record. Field Operations is the landscape architect.

Love this tower with the sombrero spire. I will be celebrating once it starts construction. It will be an iconic landmark in the area.

Reminds me more of a Wisconsin cheese hat.

Sombrero spire. Sounds childish

Let’s hope they don’t unearth a pointed stick.

How many years has this eye sore of a parking lot been sitting here unused? They should’ve had the baywalk open and connected all this time. Such a shame

That would happen in New York or Boston but never Miami

Do tell….Who is they?
Are you referring to the Confederacy of Blog Commenter’s?

The CoBC doesn’t have the money or the knowledge to get an insurance policy, let alone pull off what is necessary to construct a simple baywalk.

54 floors and 1000ft doesn’t make sense. 18 ft floors?

Must be some super high ceilings involved here to only result in 54 storeys?

The report says there are 54 floors, and I counted 60. They must be floors with high ceilings, because the Jade, next door, has 48 floors and appears to be half the height of the rendering of the new building. It will be a landmark on the skyline of this southern side of the bay.

Please don’t build this toilet plunger. Your 350 Park Avenue Tower in NYC is a stunner. Miami deserves a better design.

Agreed! Happy this is being built, but not the design. I guess beggars can’t be choosers.

How can it be 54 stories and way taller than Panorama which is 85 stories?

Add a classic spire instead of that ugly top hat. Spires that light up at night define skylines, not flat tops like every other building in Miami

Legacy will have a spire!

Two towers… in a sea of flat tops.

A mini one indeed. When is that building resuming construction? Does anybody know?

Agree. Miami needs a spire which will cause a wow factor …
