Construction Now Underway At 58-Story Downtown Miami Tower

Construction is now underway at the 58-story Downtown 6 tower, according to the SFBJ.

Completion is expected in about two years, the report said.

The tower is being built on the same block where the two 52-story Downtown 5th towers were completed in 2021 by the same developer. A total of 1,042 apartments are included in those towers.

Also on the same block, the 70-story Okan tower is now at the third level of construction.

Downtown 6 is planned to rise 574 feet above ground, or 587 feet above sea level, and include:

  • 824 apartments
  • 2,247 square feet of retail
  • 639 parking spaces, in a hidden garage

Melo Group is the developer.

Too bad that they didn’t do three towers of the same height like at Marina Bay Sands
in Singapore.

What’s the building next to it going to be? I hope not a church but rather a museum or an entertainment venue!🤔

I think it’s a Church sadly but the building is beautiful no matter what’s inside.

Why is it sad to have a church there?

Sad Godless people disappointed in having a church in the neighborhood that’s been there longer than any of us have been alive? The church is Christ fellowship, the building is a 1925 masterpiece and the first Baptist church of Miami. Everything in this neighborhood is an afternoon thought to this longstanding historic church. We should be grateful for it.

They should pay taxes. Like everyone else. Churches are just scams! They advocate to help the poor but they all have their doors closed while homeless people pile up on the streets!

How many homeless people are you currently hosting at your home?
