Construction equipment has arrived at the Edgewater property where the 56-story Villa condo tower is planned.
Video showing activity at the site yesterday was uploaded to the social media account of Kevin Venger, one of the tower’s developers.
The 650-foot tower will feature a distinctive copper color-cladded exoskeletal design.
It will include 72 condos, a rooftop helipad, and a restaurant by Major Food Group.
Miami’s Building Department records show a site work permit was issued on August 2, and a seawall permit was issued August 30.
A permit for temporary toilets was issued October 6. A master construction permit for the new tower is also in process.
Major Food Group, David Martin’s Terra and One Thousand Group are partnering to develop the building.
