Brightline Doubles Shuttle Service To MIA/FLL Airports

Brightline has doubled its airport shuttle services to MIA and FLL.

The shuttles now operate every 15 minutes to both Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale Airport from morning until evening (you can see a schedule here).

There are multiple pickup locations at both airports.

Pricing is $10 for the first passenger, and $5 for each additional person in the same party. Seats are offered on a first come, first served walk-up basis with a same-day Brightline train fare.

Uber is cheaper… the point of public transportation is that it’s affordable🙄

I completely agree with you Jennifer. Also, sometimes I drive to FLL and pay the $15 per day parking and my car is waiting for me when I return.

This isn’t really public transit. There is a profit motive.

how is a private shuttle service considered public transit? You can easily catch the people mover at MIA which connects to Metrorail and gets you into downtown. People in Miami just dont want to do that even thought it is very easy and convenient if youre going to that area

Very true. I fly alot and I use the Metromover to head home on Brickell. (I do not use going outbound as I get a bit nervous on timing etc).
$3 Easy breezy. Better that Lyft Uber

Uber is cheaper than $10? I’ve never had an Uber ride in Miami for less than $25.

I am pretty sure that is the price for the shuttle from the Brightline station to the airport. You would still have to buy a train ticket on Brightline from Miami to FLL

I agree, although I never pay more than $15-20 to get from Downtown to the airport with either Uber/Lyft.

They should extend Metromover to MIA and FLL and keep it free, because it would be a no brianer with my first class tickets to Cancun paid by mommy and daddy.

Imagine how much more business Amtrak would have and be a competitor to Brightline if they stopped dragging their feet about using the Intermodal Center at MIA. They could even offer none stop trips from MIA to Orlando
