142 Residential Units Planned At Culmer Metrorail Station

A residential development is in planning at Metrorail’s Culmer Station.

A special exception application for the property was submitted to Miami-Dade on November 26. The property is within Miami-Dade’s Rapid Transit Zoning area.

A variance is being requested to allow for development of the building without a habitable liner, including the ground floor and parking garage.

The 20-story development is planned to include:

  • 142 multi-family residential units (18 will be workforce units)
  • six levels of parking

Behar Font is the architect.

UBC Miami, LLC is the developer.

..at…Metrorail station…
Garage is bigger than the building
The waiver isn’t for parking reduction, but rather it’s for lack of urban features.

Better than a parking lot…

And better than most buildings in that area.

Would be better if the vegetation was in straight horizontal lines along each floor of the parking garage, not silly bubbles that cheapen then project. Then again, it would be even better with no parking garage at all.
