Citadel Tower Submitted At Taller Height

Citadel’s new supertall headquarters tower has been submitted for site plan review, at a taller height.

In late August, the plans were submitted to Miami-Dade for zoning review showing a height of 1,032 feet above sea level. Zoning review is currently in process.

With the new site plan filing on September 23, the height has been increased to 1,049 feet above sea level.

The number of floors is now listed at 55, compared to 54 stories in the original filing.

The new site plan filing shows the development is now planned to have:

  • approximately 1,293,373 square feet of office
  • hotel/accommodation uses consisting of approximately 413,476 square feet containing 212 hotel rooms and accessory uses, including health spa, fitness club, ballroom, conference and event uses
  • restaurant and/or retail uses consisting of approximately 23,590 square feet
  • approximately 50 below-grade, on-site, executive parking spaces, with additional parking across the street

Construction is estimated to begin in the third quarter of 2025, the company previously said.

Foster + Partners is the design architect, with AAI architects the architect of record. Field Operations is the landscape architect.

Please remove the toilet plunge of a crown!

The crown isn’t even my biggest nitpick. It’s the monotonous exterior. Still, I’m very happy to see this will likely get built, and at a slightly taller height, too.

It’s so refreshing from the rest of the boxes around it ! I wish it had a condo component !
I can imagine it with two spires on top of the crown reaching towards the sky … over the top !

I have a quick question, let’s suppose that they wanted to increase the height to 1080ft approx, would the FAA make an exception since it’s only a couple feet?

great design!
Where is the parking? for 1.2MM sft of office need around 3 spaces x 1000 sft (+/-4000 spaces) to be able to lease it .
How do they connect from the parking to the offices without getting wet?
