Brickell planned 70-story Calle 8 tower has moved to the Administrative Site Plan Review phase.
The December 2 site plan filing with Miami-Dade revealed new and refined details planned at the development.
The building is moving through an approval process with Miami-Dade, under their Rapid Transit zoning plan, rather then being reviewed by the City of Miami zoning and site plan approval process.
A pre-application for the tower was filed in September 2023. It was then submitted for zoning review in January. Miami-Dade Aviation approved a height of 750 feet above sea level in October.
According to the December 2 site plan filing, Calle 8 is planned to rise 70 stories, or 736 feet above ground level and 750 feet above sea level, and include:
- 464 residential units
- 75,736 square feet of performing arts, with theater seating spread over 8 levels
- 653 parking spaces, with the highest garage floor on level 15
Residential units will be studios (298 units, or 64%), 1 bedrooms (36 units), 2 bedrooms (61 units), and 3 bedrooms (68 units).
Four levels of amenities will be on levels 40-43, and include a pool and bar, gym, spa, and co-working space.
BMA is the design architect, with DAC the architect of record.
Millennium Developments of Brickell is the developer.
