44-Story Brickell Tower Begins Vertical Construction

Vertical construction is now underway at the 44-story Lofty Brickell tower, according to photos by Ryan RC Rea.

The photos show that building columns’ are now rising out of the ground, with cranes in place.

The cranes were approved by the FAA in July for heights of 650 feet above ground, or 653 feet above sea level.

Lofty Brickell is planned to include 364 residential units allowing short-term rentals.

The permanent height of the tower is planned at 574 feet above ground, or 579 feet above sea level, according to a previous FAA approval.

Newgard is the developer, with Arquitectonica the architect.

I hate how close it is to the train…shows the lack of city planning by the city. Elevated rail should have a 75ft green buffer on both side to hide and suppress the noises coming from the train

Just don’t live in that building Karen.
There is no need to tell the property owners what they should want, and passing laws restrictions people.

Cars blaring music with souped up mufflers are far noisier.

How the hell do you buffer an elevated rail with landscaping, redwoods?

clearly never lived in a major city lmao, wouldn’t even survive a day in a chaotic urban core like bogotá in south america where vehicle noise never ends. but thats what you get living in a city! 🤷‍♂️

I live adjacent to the site. The obnoxious self-centered people who blast music from their boats are way more annoying than the train
